Hi all. I've been pretty quiet here but I do enjoy your stories and advice.
I'm 38 weeks, 2 days pregnant today! I'm due Oct. 9th, though we'll see when the munchkin's ready to come out. I danced all the way till this Tuesday, but I'm just so large and uncomfortable now that I think that's it till after recovering from my baby.
I've been dancing for almost 4 years now, 3 in cabaret, 1 under Pangaea in Champaign, IL (I started on DVDs, heh) and this last year tribal under Hipnotic in Chicago.
I'm really nervous and excited - this is my first and she wasn't quite planned, though it's all working out now. I'm hoping that all the dancing I've been doing will help me through the labor, AND I'm hoping to pass my love of the dance on to her someday. She already loves the music - she bops right along with it now! ;) I appreciate all info on bringing children to events, dancing around them/with them, etc. I can use all the help I can get! ;)
That's about it - no real questions, just a hello and a bit of an intro. Hope all is well with you guys! Happy shimmies.

Thu, September 27, 2007 - 4:13 PMI second that. I love seeing photos. My lovely friend who dances with me gave birth to a beautiful little girl this morning. Can't wait to see her! I hear her make little mewing noises over the phone just now aaah.

My first was not quite planned as well... thank goodness for that nine months to get our acts together! but things have worked out well in the long run (she's 7 now). It's an exciting change of life. Here's hoping for the best for you, and that baby comes sooner rather than later (my personal opinion is the less time spent full-term pregnant, the better ;)... I delivered my first at 37 weeks, which was perfect!)
