OK mamas, next question:
What are your favorite exercises to work the belly muscles, your abdominals? I'm looking for stuff that's good for both bellydance and for flattening the baby bulge.

Re: Favorite belly exercises?!
Sun, February 10, 2008 - 6:19 PMbelly rolls/undulations
I guess since i'm using my muscles and I can "feel" it... i just feel better about the whole move. Like "yeah, i may have some flab, but I can feel those muscles working under there!" -

Sun, February 10, 2008 - 7:59 PMI agree; belly rolls/undulations have got to be the best!
You could also try Aziza's "Alphabet Abs". They're awesome and so fun! Lay on the floor, flat on your back. Extend the legs upwards and proceed to 'draw' the alphabet with your legs in the air. The bigger the letters and the straighter you keep your legs, the better the workout. ; ) -

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 7:45 AMcurl downs (upper abs) & pelvic tucks (lower abs) & oblique curls (lie on your side & do a sit up with your obliques)
I prefer undulations (engaging the core muscles) to belly rolls (superficial)
and the turkish (sideways) belly rolls are fun! try doing them leaning over slightly to get the feel of the movement if this is new for you.
