Re: Pregnancy Diary
Fri, June 6, 2008 - 12:20 PMi always have good intentions to start the diaries, but I never end up doing them...
I did video tape when I told my husband (caught him by surprise)

Re: Pregnancy Diary
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 12:15 PMCongratulations to both of you. Tammy - those are videos are sweet!
I took pictures of my belly every week - every Thursday night, after belly dance class (when I was already wearing pantaloons and crop top that showed off my belly). I kept records from the doctors' visits - what to expect, what to do, etc. But that's it.
We kept DETAILED notes for the first 6 months AFTER the baby was born - when she ate, pooped, and slept; her first smile, her first signs (we taught her some ASL - I *highly* recommend it!), etc. This was helpful for each day but have not looked back at them since. Now that she's 5, I barely have time to write down her play dates! -

Re: Pregnancy Diary
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 3:27 PMOooh yeah, I second the ASL!!! Jozie was signing at about 9 months and new over 200 signs by about 15 months.. It seems like kids just seem to pick up so fast and it really helps with their communication. We used the "signing time" series (since it's one of the few that uses real ASL), but I think whatever you are comfortable with is great!
Ok... sorry... I just get really excited about ASL as an early form of communication.
