when searching for the right baby name?

I really like the idea of giving names like "Grace", "Clarity", ect or old fashioned names like "Lilian" ect.

Since we had twins, I wanted the names to work together, not just with the middle names, knowing that their first names will be inevitably linked for the rest of their lives. Twin A is Christian Michael and Twin B is Dominic Edward. Their first names have similar meanings, and their middle names are family names. I wanted Christian Manus but hubby vetoed that - my great-grandfather was named Manus and I love the name.

Anyway, the best piece of advice I got for choosing a name is to yell your chosen name as if you're calling a disobedient child, and if you feel like an idiot when saying the name, pick something else. lol. Obviously you want to make sure the initials don't spell anything obscene, and it sounds nice with your last name. Other than that, pick what you like!

I was drawn to old-fashioned names- specifically of queens and princesses. :-) Like Elizabeth, Margarita, Brigetta, etc. I choose Sofia Gabrielle for my sweetie.

Early on in Pregnancy I said the name Sage and I just had a moment... I knew the Baby wanted to be named Sage -and daddy and I met while picking Sage together-... Yet there is no way Daddy is going to let that be her first name.... After many options daddy found Theya which means precious in Lakota and we both have some Native American blood in us.... we both liked the name ... So her name is Theya Sage (I figure the baby is named after his last name so I get the middle name)

I say if you like the old fashioned names go for it.... You are carrying her and going to givce birth
